SF-SFM is a serum-free, protein-free medium for insect cell Sf9/21 cell culture containing Pluronic F-68.The medium is suitable for the expression of exogenous proteins via an insect cell baculovirus expression system. Most Sf9/21 cell lines can be transferred directly from other serum-free or serum-added media to SF-SFM for passaging culture without acclimatization.
The medium can support the growth of Sf9 and Sf21 cells in adherence to the wall or in suspension.Sf9 and Sf21 cells can usually reach a cell density of 1.0×107cells/ml in SF-SFM medium, with a cell activity of more than 95%, and passaged more than 20 times without a decrease in cell activity.

2、Can support long-term passaging of insect cells (>20 generations).
3、Suitable for culturing Sf9 and Sf21 cells.
4、High titers of AcNPV can be obtained using this medium.

6、Cells from other serum-free or serum-added media can be transferred directly to this medium for culture without undergoing passaging.
