Nano-adjuvants are a family of adjuvants that are instantly dilutable. Liquid particles of 10-500 nanometers in size are distributed in an aqueous phase containing an immunostimulatory complex.
The nano-adjuvant is slowly added to the aqueous phase medium with gentle stirring (using a propeller stirrer or magnetic stirrer). The adjuvant is used at a rate of 2%-10%.
Characteristics: Rapidly induces an immunoprotective response. Simple mixing results in a stable liquid vaccine. Good biological tolerance. Contributes to improved immune persistence if booster immunization is used.
