Water-in-oil-in-water formulations are continuous-phase aqueous emulsions in which the oil droplets contain the water phase (biphasic emulsions).
Water-in-oil-in-water vaccine emulsions were formulated using a one-step process and low shear rates. The proportion of adjuvant used is 20-70%.
Characteristics: It can quickly induce immune protection response and obtain long-term immune protection effect. Compared with water-in-oil, it reduces the viscosity of the vaccine, has strong inclusiveness and fluidity, and is more stable after forming complexes with antigens.
