Porcine testis (ST) cells are engineered cell lines transformed from porcine testis progenitor cells by passaging clonal screening, and can be cultured in continuous passaging, ST cells are sensitive to a variety of swine disease viruses, such as swine fever virus (CSFV), porcine parvovirus (PPV), pseudorabies virus (PRV) ,porcine transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV), and so on.
ST cells grow in adherent dependence, which is restrictive to the production of multiple vaccine scale-ups, and ST single-cell suspension culture can greatly relieve this restriction.
ST-SUS Forti Medium is a serum-free medium specially designed for ST cells. It is suitable for suspension culture of ST cells. Cells grow in suspension in this medium with a controlled cell mass, which is ideal for proliferation of a wide range of viruses, and is suitable for large-scale scale-up in bioreactors.
